Cranford Quilters - A friendly Patchwork and Quilting group based in Knutsford, Cheshire

Welcome to Cranford Quilters!

We are a friendly Patchwork and Quilting group based in Knutsford, Cheshire. We meet in the evening at 7:30pm with refreshments beforehand, usually on the fourth Monday of the month, at St Vincent's RC Church Hall, Tatton St, Knutsford. You can find details of the programme for 2014 on our Events page. We break for the holidays with no meetings in August or December. We are a long established group of around 20 members of varying abilities and enjoy a diverse programme of events including workshops and speakers throughout the year. We'd love you to come and join us!

Exhibition News

An enormous THANK-YOU to everyone who took part in the exhibition. We received many positive comments and lots of praise for our work. Special thanks to four non-members who gave up the day to help us: Christine Fairclough who worked hard selling dates for the quilt and postcards and Queen of the Kitchen Sheila Gallimore and her kitchen fairies Lara Williams and Laura Woodfine-Jones. Also, a big thank-you to the husbands who lent their muscle power and sorted tables, chairs and quilt stands. Thank-you to the exhibition committee for all your input, to Bernadette for letting us use her work-room to put together the 2 raffle quilts and to Joanne who gave up her time to quilt both of them free of charge. Thank-you to Edna and Harry who put such a lot of thought into making everything look good and to Diana who was first in and last out as the key holder. Thanks to Katy for the flyers and to Jane and Karen for the advertising. Many members put in a lot of work to make the day the success it was – the exhibition could not have happened without you. The monies raised will help Cranford Quilters continue to have a high standard of speakers. Thank-you. - Gwen and Giulia

To that I would add many thanks to Gwen and Giulia on behalf of the whole group for overseeing the whole exhibition. I hope your sleepless nights are at an end now and that you can enjoy some time to do what you choose to do without any pressure on you. No more CQ committee meetings for you now. I am afraid your input will be missed. - Diana
